IESL RoboGames is the annual robotics competition organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Moratuwa, in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL) and SLT-MOBITEL — Sri Lanka’s premier platform for the next generation of robotic innovators.

🏆 Competition Categories

🏫 School Category

Program virtual robots using Webots simulation software. A three-phase online competition with in-person finals. No physical robot building required — pure programming and logic!

🎓 University Category

Advanced Drone programming using Webots simulation. A three-phase competition culminating in in-person finals, focused on algorithmic excellence and strategy for undergraduates from UGC-approved universities.

⚔️ Open Category — BattleBots

Design and build physical combat robots. A knockout tournament format with head-to-head battles testing engineering skills and strategic planning. Open to all!
